Beaver Scouts are young boys and girls usually aged between six and eight years old. They belong to the first and youngest section in the scouting family. Our colony is a friendly and active place for your child to join – we get up to all sorts of things, including day visits, sleepovers, arts and crafts, exploring the outdoors and much more!
Marc is very proud of our two Beavers who got their Chief Scout Bronze Awards this year – this is the highest award available to Beavers, and demonstrates their badge collecting abilities and involvement in lots of different activities. Well done Rhys and Finlay!
The Beavers have had several trips out including a hike to Swans Pool and visits to Pets at Home and Tesco. They also have learned how to make pizzas and Piñata’s, and had a great Survival themed camp at Barnswood. There was also a Christmas Party at Blaze Farm on 28th November.
Next term’s theme is “Outer Space”, with activities such as stargazing and a “Star Wars” themed sleepover at Barnswood. Marc hopes to organise a trip to Jodrell Bank and also invited a PCSO to come and talk to Beavers about staying safe – so a packed programme lies ahead!
